Belly Dancer USA 2011

Well, we made it back all in one piece from our road trip to Oregon for the Belly Dancer USA Competition.  What a wonderful adventure!  We didn't come back with any trophies, but for our first time out, I couldn't be more pleased.  My dancers danced beautifully - the best we've ever done, I think.  Even more than that, they were so incredibly sweet to one another.  They were supportive, kind, patient and generous - and willing to jump in when we had a four-alarm belly dance emergency.  Not only that, the dancers who couldn't go and stayed behind have been cheering us on, sacrificing class time, and filling in as stand-ins during practice for this past month.  What an amazing group of women.
